If the indicator flashes red after installing a new filter, it doesn't mean the filter is defective. Simply find the indicator reset button in the filter housing and press it several times until the indicator pops up.

The main difference between the original blue filter and the white RF3375 filter is the filtering stage. The blue 3-stage filter has mineral filtering for better taste, while the white RF-3375 2-stage filter does not have mineral filtering.
